International Museum of Windmills and Watermills |

| Gifhorn's International Windmill Museum has nine full-sized original windmills to date. Visitors can enter these and walk around inside. The centrepiece of the museum is an 800 sq m exhibition hall. There are over 40 models of windmills and watermills from all over the world which have been reconstructed to scale and are true reproductions down to the smallest detail. A wooden Russian Orthodox church is a model of the original from 1756. |

| Isenhagen Klosterhof Museum |

| The Klosterhof Museum is housed in a brick building which dates back to 1436 and has a magnificent façade. The museum's permanent exhibition looks in particular at the agricultural and economic history of the monastery. The working quarters have been left in their medieval character and the herb garden has been built according to original historical plans. |

| The Gifhorn Art Association (founded 1979) is concerned with promoting contemporary art. It shows works predominantly by artists from Lower Saxony who have different approaches. Photography has been a regular feature of the association for some time. Exhibition rooms can be found in Gifhorn's pedestrian zone. |
